I see a start and a join button. What is the difference?

"Start" allows you to start an exercise. "Join" is used to join a multi-sector exercise that has been started by another user.

I downloaded the ATCoachME app for my iPad but how do I connect to my school's server?

Open the ATCoachME App on your iPad. Click on settings wheel on the bottom left of your screen. A settings page will open up and the URL provided by site administrators can be entered. Make sure your URL address starts with "https://". Select "Done" on the top right when finished. The URL will be stored for future sessions.

I was supposed to sign into an exercise to run a specific sector, but when I click on "Start" why doesn't it take me to the correct exercise?

Joining a multi-sector ATCoach ME exercise requires another student to "host" the exercise and initiate the run before others will see Active Exercises available.

Why do some of the exercises have a "headset" icon next to them?

Exercises with a "headset" icon are ATSpeak ME exercises. You can access them by choosing the exercises and then clicking on the "Launch ATSpeak ME" at the bottom of the screen.

I see several voice models on the drop down menu, which voice model should I choose?

You can choose whichever voice model you would like. North American is the most common VM and generally the best one to start with. The North American Augmented models have been tuned to work better for users with some voice characteristics (pitch, enunciation, etc.) that are slightly different than what would be considered average. The easiest way to check the best model for you is to run a voice model report at the end of your exercise.

I'm at the exercise main selection screen but I don't see a "start" or a "run" button - what do I do to load the exercise?

To load a "solo" ATCoach ME exercise, complete login information and select Start. Applicable ATCoach ME exercises will be displayed with a black aircraft icon. Select the appropriate exercise, then select the appropriate sector. Exercise will start.

How do I show airport, airway, and other map labels on my iPad?

Map layers and labels are accessible by tapping on the globe icon at the top left of the menu bar. Once it opens, you can simply choose the items you want to display on your screen.

How do I turn off or modify the number of dots for aircraft history?

If you want to change history for all aircraft in a scenario, tap on the airplane icon on the menu bar. This opens the "targets" menu where you can enable/disable and modify the number of history dots for all aircraft. Alternatively, if you want to change the history for a specific aircraft, click on the aircraft first, then tap the plane icon on the menu bar to adjust.

How can I get prompts to turn off/on?

Tap the message icon on the menu bar to enable/disable and change features of prompts.

Is there a way to show a range bearing line or measure distance between targets?

RBL and measuring can be done by clicking on the line/direction icon (to the right of the message icon) on the menu bar. Click on it then choose the appropriate target(s) on your scope.
